The Sjøsand beach at Mandal starts where the town ends and is eight hundred meters long. Adjacent to the distant end (where the photographer stands), in the park, is a large camping ground. If you don't like this beach, there are other beaches close by.

Behind the beach Sjøsand at Mandal lies the natural park Furulunden (furu = pine). The park covers about 1.3 square kilometers.
